Find the app and its related Library files

Mole starts with the application bundle, then checks more than fifteen Library locations for related Application Support, Caches, Preferences, Logs, Launch Agents, Launch Daemons, Login Items, Containers, Group Containers, Saved Application State, and Input Methods. Uncertain matches stay unselected

A filename that resembles an app is not enough proof to delete it. Strong bundle and ownership matches can be selected with the app; ambiguous or weak matches remain visible but unchecked. You can inspect the path and size before deciding. This matters for suites that share vendor folders, containers, or login helpers.

See startup items and helpers beside the app

The same Software page lists supported login items, Launch Agents, Launch Daemons, and background items. Mole can disable entries only when it has a stable launchd or Service Management identity. Apple-managed entries without a safe handle open the matching System Settings pane instead.

Removal stays recoverable

Uninstalled apps and selected leftovers move through the macOS Trash. Root-owned apps under Applications ask for administrator approval, and one approval can be reused for later removals in the same Mole session. Running owners and protected paths are checked again immediately before removal.
