    Mac app uninstaller

Review an app and its related files before removing them. Uncertain matches stay unchecked; system extensions may need the developer’s uninstaller.

    Find the app’s related files

Mole reads the app bundle identity and checks more than fifteen Library locations, including Application Support, Caches, Preferences, Logs, Launch Agents, Launch Daemons, Login Items, Containers, Group Containers, Saved Application State, and Input Methods. The app and every proposed related file appear together with their sizes.

Software keeps app updates, startup items, and uninstall review in one place.

    Uncertain matches stay unchecked

Strong bundle and ownership matches can be selected with the app. Weak or ambiguous candidates stay visible but unchecked, with their path and size available for review. This matters when two apps share a vendor folder, group container, or login helper: uninstalling one must not break the other.

Identify the app and its files, leave shared and system components alone, then move the items you confirm to Trash.

Manage updates and startup items here too

The Software tab also inventories app updates and supported login items, Launch Agents, Launch Daemons, and background items. Mole only toggles an item when it has a stable launchd or Service Management identity. Apple-managed entries without a safe control path open the right System Settings page instead.

Trash first, ask for admin only when needed

The app and selected related files move through the macOS Trash. A root-owned app in Applications asks for administrator approval, which can be reused during the same Mole session. Running owners and protected paths are checked again immediately before removal.

Use the developer’s tool for system extensions

VPNs, antivirus software, device drivers, configuration profiles, and system or kernel extensions may keep running after the app itself is removed. Mole handles ordinary apps and related files you can review. For these system components, follow the developer’s uninstall instructions.

    Try two uninstalls before buying

Scanning is always free, and Uninstall can finish twice before a license is required. Download Mole, open Software, choose an app, and inspect the bundle and related files before confirming. For a narrower free drag-and-drop tool, AppCleaner may already be enough; the detailed comparison explains the different boundaries.
