How to uninstall XP-Pen Tablet on Mac
Keep XP-Pen tablet settings before removing the app. Quit XPPenTablet, then copy the observed ~/.XPPen/config.xml to a checked backup. The recorded installation was only an XPPenTablet.app copy, not a completed driver package installation.
Remove the matching installation
After checking saved settings, move the copied app from Applications to the Trash. The full package contains a separate driver tree and UninstallXPPen.app under /Library/Application Support/PenDriver; those were not installed in this test. This page does not provide a verified current menu flow for that uninstaller, and an older UninstallPenTablet name should not be substituted for this package.
For Homebrew, the current xppen-pentablet cask supports:
brew uninstall --cask xppen-pentablet
Ordinary uninstall stops the listed agent and apps, processes the XPPen receipt, and deletes Applications/XPPen, PenDriver and the listed system launch-agent file. Keep the full installation intact until this flow completes. Zap additionally targets PenTablet support, matching cache/HTTP/WebKit/state, three preference leaves and a listed group container. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections and does not list .XPPen.
ls -ld "/Applications/XPPenTablet.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/.XPPen/config.xml"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to these locations; permission errors leave them unknown. These checks do not verify full driver shutdown or device configuration recovery.
What Mole lists
The selected app is checked by default. The exact ~/.XPPen user-data rule is reviewed and unchecked by default. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; eligible reviewed data may be included when enabled, so uncheck the folder if keeping its settings. The recorded app copy does not establish removal of the separately installed PenDriver tree.
What this test covered
The official package app copy and selected temporary cache were removed with source-built Mole on October 2, 2026. The root installer and PenDriver were not installed. The .XPPen configuration remained uncollected, and the later review rule was not included in that removal run. Full driver uninstall, vendor uninstaller execution and populated configuration recovery were not tested.
