How to uninstall wBlock on Mac
Save wanted wBlock custom filters and scripts before removal. Its official README identifies a Safari blocker; the app's container is not your Safari browsing history. Quit wBlock before copying wanted contents from ~/Library/Containers/skula.wBlock and verify the backup before resetting it.
Disable its Safari extensions, then remove the app
Following Apple's Safari extension instructions, open Safari > Settings > Extensions and deselect only wBlock's extensions. Keep other extensions and Safari profiles. Move wBlock.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved filters and stopping use of its extensions.
ls -ld "/Applications/wBlock.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/skula.wBlock"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to those locations; permission errors leave them unknown. Check Safari's actual extension list as well; these path checks do not prove every blocker rule stopped or that custom filters can be restored.
What Mole lists
The selected app, exact main container and scripts are normally checked when present and unprotected. Uncheck the container if keeping filters or scripts. This record does not establish every extension's separate data inventory. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default, and Safari's own profiles and other extensions stay separate.
What this test covered
The maintainer-installed Mac App Store app and selected main container/scripts were removed with source-built Mole on October 4, 2026. Populated filter recovery, Safari extension activation/deactivation, Status and update behavior were not verified.
