How to uninstall Wacom Center on Mac
Keep Wacom device preferences before removal, then quit Wacom Center. The recorded app was copied from the official driver package, without running its installer. Removing that Center copy does not remove a complete tablet driver installation.
Match the app to the driver installation
For a standalone copied Wacom Center.app, follow Apple's app-removal guidance after saving settings. For a full driver installation, the official Wacom instructions say to save preferences, disconnect the tablet, then open Wacom Tablet Utility in Applications/Wacom Tablet. Choose Tablet Software > Uninstall, approve the administrative request if shown and restart. Keep the installed utility available until this flow completes; it was not run in the copied-app test.
For a Homebrew driver installation, the current wacom-tablet cask supports:
brew uninstall --cask wacom-tablet
Ordinary uninstall unloads its listed Wacom services, quits the listed drivers and processes the TabletInstaller receipt. Zap adds broad Wacom scripts/container patterns, driver groups and its recent-document list. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections and spans more than Center's exact data, so preserve needed Wacom data before using it.
ls -ld "/Applications/Wacom Center.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/com.wacom.WacomCenter"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to these copied-app locations; a full installation can place Center elsewhere. Permission errors leave it unknown. These checks do not verify DriverKit, privileged helpers or device settings restoration.
What Mole lists
The selected app, exact main container and scripts are normally checked when present and unprotected. The team-prefixed WacomTabletDriver group and scripts are reviewed and unchecked by default, with independent ownership checks before deletion. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; do not assume enabling it selects this group or deletes a full driver installation.
What this test covered
The Center app copied from the official package and selected data were removed with source-built Mole on September 28, 2026, including manually selected driver-group data. The package installer was not run: its preference pane, privileged helper and DriverKit components were not installed. Full driver removal, vendor utility execution and populated preference recovery were not tested.
