How to uninstall Vorssaint on Mac

Save wanted Vorssaint settings and any work kept in its clipboard or file shelf before removal. Its official README describes several independent utilities. Stop active utility tasks and quit the menu-bar app; copying a preference file is not a backup of every shelf item.

Remove the app

Move Vorssaint.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved work. The recorded fan-control helper was declared but not installed; this guide does not provide verified removal steps for a separately approved helper.

For Homebrew, the current cask supports:

brew uninstall --cask vorssaint

Ordinary removal quits the app and removes it. Zap additionally targets exact support, cache, HTTP storage, preference and saved-state leaves. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections and can reset settings; it does not name a separate fan helper.

Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to those locations; permission errors leave them unknown. These checks do not verify a privileged helper or shelf-content recovery.

What Mole lists

The selected app and exact identifier leaves are normally checked when present and unprotected. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default, while shared stores and archives keep their boundaries. The observed temporary shelf was not collected in the recorded run; keep its contents unless ownership and backup are confirmed.

What this test covered

The official app and selected preferences, HTTP storage and temporary cache were removed with source-built Mole on September 25, 2026. A temporary shelf remained, and the fan helper had not been installed. Populated shelf recovery, installed-helper removal and Homebrew-managed uninstall were not tested.
