How to uninstall Tabbit on Mac

Save wanted Tabbit bookmarks, passwords and open work before removal. The official browser site describes browser context and imported data; copy or export wanted material through the controls available in your version and check the result. Quit Tabbit before copying the observed ~/Library/Application Support/Tabbit profile, keeping the source until the backup is verified.

Remove the browser, keep wanted profiles

Move Tabbit.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved work. Keep downloaded files and other browsers' profiles. The recorded updater launch-agent file was removed along with selected app data, but this does not establish deletion of every separately installed launcher.

Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to these locations; permission errors leave them unknown. A retained profile is expected when keeping browser data, and these checks do not verify complete password or bookmark recovery.

What Mole lists

The selected app and unprotected exact cache/preference leaves can be checked by default. Inspect each profile and HTTP-storage row's actual protection and selection, and uncheck data you want to keep. Protected browser data remain outside bulk selection and the optional data setting; this guide does not assume every current row is locked merely because an earlier run protected it. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default.

What this test covered

The official browser app and selected data were removed with source-built Mole on October 3, 2026 after reaching the welcome page without importing data or setting it as the default browser. The profile support folder and updater HTTP storage were protected and retained; a selected temporary item was already absent. Populated browser recovery, account deletion and complete data removal were not tested.
