How to Uninstall Soulver 3 on Mac

Copy wanted Soulver 3 sheets before uninstalling; calculations in a local sheet are separate from an account. The app also offers a command-line tool, which may be installed through its cask. The recorded test used a direct download, not a Homebrew installation.

Remove the app and inspect its data

Quit Soulver 3, then move Soulver 3.app from Applications to Trash. Inspect the versioned and unversioned support folders separately before deciding what to keep. The cask zap names Soulver 3, not the separately observed Soulver folder. Both may contain app state; keep wanted sheets before selecting either. Soulver site.

Check the result

ls -ld ~/Library/'Application Support'/'Soulver 3' ~/Library/'Application Support'/Soulver

Run this read-only check after quitting the app. A printed path still exists; “No such file or directory” means that path is absent, while a permission error needs its own investigation.

If you installed it with Homebrew

The Homebrew cask has a zap list that includes Application Support/Soulver 3, bundle-ID support, cache and preferences, plus the shared App Group; ordinary cask uninstall also removes its managed CLI. Run the command below without --zap if you want to keep those files and inspect them separately. A manual --zap follows the whole cask list regardless of Mole’s checkboxes. Mole uses zap only when its targets are selected, owned and within the checked boundary; otherwise it removes selected remnants through its own flow.

What Mole lists

The Application Support/Soulver 3 and Application Support/Soulver folders are review rows, unselected by default. Exact bundle-ID support and caches are normally selected; the Soulver App Group is protected.

What this test covered

The official Soulver 3.16.3 archive was removed on September 20, 2026. Selecting review rows removed Application Support/Soulver 3; Application Support/Soulver remained for separate review. No account or real sheet was tested.
