How to uninstall Rockxy on Mac

Save wanted Rockxy traffic captures and rules before removal, then stop capture and quit the app. The official site describes an HTTP/HTTPS debugger; an installation with approved privileged components has a wider removal scope than the recorded unapproved setup.

    Remove the confirmed installation

For Homebrew, use the current cask while the app is still present:

    brew uninstall --cask rockxy

Ordinary uninstall quits Rockxy and unloads its matching direct-proxy watchdog jobs before removing the app. Zap additionally targets the two support roots com.amunx.rockxy and com.amunx.rockxy.community, matching caches, HTTP storage and the exact preference plist. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections; save local work first.

For the recorded app-only case, after quitting move Rockxy.app from Applications to the Trash. This page does not provide verified removal steps for a separately approved helper or trusted certificate. If either was installed, keep the components until their exact vendor removal flow is confirmed rather than assuming app removal handled them.

    ls -ld "/Applications/Rockxy.app"
    ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/com.amunx.rockxy.community"

Printed paths remain. A missing-path error applies only to the named location; permission errors leave it unknown. These checks do not verify proxy settings, certificates or every helper.

    What Mole lists

The selected app and exact bundle-identifier data leaves are normally checked when present and unprotected. The broader cask support root is reviewed when included; inspect ownership and wanted capture data before selecting it. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default, and shared or protected items retain individual boundaries.

    What this test covered

The official app and selected data were removed with source-built Mole on September 23, 2026. The helper was not approved and its certificate was not trusted, so no installed daemon was covered. Populated capture recovery, a fully approved helper installation and Homebrew-managed removal were not tested.

If Mac apps leave files behind after uninstalling, try Mole. I've personally tested and inspected 799 Mac apps.
