How to uninstall Razer Synapse on Mac
Save wanted Razer device settings before removing Synapse. This guide covers the copied Mac app whose privileged components were not approved. It does not provide a verified full installer-removal procedure for an installed App Engine, driver or Chroma setup.
Remove only the copied app
Quit the copied app and follow Apple's application removal guidance to move Razer Synapse.app from Applications to the Trash. If the full installer was run, keep its components until the matching vendor removal flow is confirmed; deleting this small app is not proof that the driver has been uninstalled.
Keep ~/Library/Application Support/Razer: the recorded RazerAppEngine log was inside this vendor tree shared by Synapse, Chroma and Engine. Do not delete the whole tree merely because its name matches Razer.
ls -ld "/Applications/Razer Synapse.app"
systemextensionsctl list
A printed app path remains; a missing-path error applies only to that location, while permission errors leave it unknown. The second command lists system extensions: inspect only Razer entries and their actual state. A pending-approval entry is still a registered entry, not a fully active driver or proof of successful removal.
What Mole lists
The selected app and its exact own cache leaves are normally checked when present and unprotected. The shared Razer support tree is kept separately. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; do not assume any setting bypasses system-extension approval or deletes other Razer products.
What this test covered
A Synapse app copied from the official package was removed with source-built Mole on September 28, 2026. Installer scripts, App Engine and privileged services were not installed through that package flow. First launch requested two driver extensions; approval was not granted and their pending entries remained after app removal. The shared log remained. Full driver removal, device-profile recovery and complete installer uninstall were not tested.
