How to uninstall QtScrcpy on Mac
Save your screen recordings and customized key mappings before removing QtScrcpy. Keep recordings at the output location you selected. The official README documents a configurable video save path and Stop all services for disconnecting connected Android devices.
End connections and remove QtScrcpy
Finish recording, use Stop all services to end device connections, then quit QtScrcpy and move QtScrcpy.app from Applications to the Trash. Keep phone files and separately installed Android development tools; removing this Mac app is not a phone-data wipe or an uninstall of every adb installation.
The locally observed ~/Library/Application Support/QtScrcpy was left unchecked during the test. Open it using Finder’s Go › Go to Folder, copy wanted contents first, and remove it only if resetting the app’s local setup. The record does not identify every recording or keymap location.
Check the result
ls -ld "/Applications/QtScrcpy.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/QtScrcpy"
pgrep -ifl 'QtScrcpy'
Printed paths remain. No such file or directory means that exact path is absent; permission errors leave it unconfirmed. With no error, pgrep exit status 1 means no command line matched this name, while printed entries need checking in Activity Monitor and may include unrelated matches. This does not establish whether a separately installed adb server or phone-side connection remains.
What Mole lists
~/Library/Application Support/QtScrcpy is listed for review, not selected by default. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; enabling it includes eligible reviewed data. Shared tools and protected data retain their own boundaries. Keep your chosen recording files outside the application cleanup.
What this test covered
The copied official Mac app and its selected temporary cache were removed on September 21, 2026; its support folder was left unchecked. The test did not verify Android-device connections, recording recovery, customized keymaps or independent adb removal.
