How to uninstall Qishui Music on Mac

Save downloaded tracks and local player state you want to keep before removing Qishui Music (汽水音乐, also identified as SodaMusic). The official site supplies its PC edition; this guide covers that Mac app and the Homebrew cask sodamusic. Do not assume every wanted track can be downloaded again, or that a playlist is already available in your account.

Quit the player and preserve local data

Stop playback and downloads, check the save location you chose and copy wanted files outside the folders you plan to remove. Quit 汽水音乐 and copy the existing support directories below to an independent private backup if you want to retain local state, then verify the copies.

Move 汽水音乐.app from Applications to the Trash in Finder. Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for an unwanted 汽水音乐 background entry. Account and membership changes are separate from local app removal.

    Inspect the exact locations

These three support folders were recorded locally; the current Mole rules cover them without claiming the unrelated Lunacy app's data:

    • ~/Library/Application Support/SodaMusic
    • ~/Library/Application Support/luna_pc
    • ~/Library/Application Support/汽水音乐

Keep them until your wanted local state is backed up. The current cask also lists ~/Library/Caches/com.soda.music, ~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.soda.music and ~/Library/Preferences/com.soda.music.plist. After quitting, open each exact existing path with Finder's Go › Go to Folder and trash only confirmed unwanted player data. Keep shared parents and your copied downloads.

If you installed it with Homebrew

The cask declares no separate ordinary uninstall step beyond its managed application.

    brew uninstall --cask sodamusic

Zap removes Application Support/SodaMusic, the bundle-ID cache, network storage and preferences above. It does not list luna_pc or the Chinese-name support folder. A direct brew uninstall --cask --zap sodamusic ignores Mole's checkboxes. Mole uses zap only if its whole scope passes selection, ownership and safety checks, otherwise it still removes the remnants you selected through its own Trash flow.

    Check the result

    pgrep -ifl '汽水音乐|SodaMusic'
    ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/SodaMusic" "$HOME/Library/Application Support/luna_pc" "$HOME/Library/Application Support/汽水音乐"

No process result means no arguments matched these names; identify any surviving match before quitting it. Printed directories still exist, expected if retained. A missing-path error means that exact directory is absent; permission or command errors are inconclusive. This query does not prove that account playlists or downloaded tracks are recoverable.

    What Mole lists

All three support folders are reviewed app data. They start unchecked with Remove data and settings with apps off; enabling it can preselect eligible unshared rows. Back up wanted state and uncheck rows you want to keep. Exact bundle-ID caches, preferences and attributable temporary update files follow their default selection rules; a displayed row still has to pass deletion safety checks.

    What this test covered

On September 21, 2026, the vendor-hosted DMG published by the cask was used to copy the app into Applications without a Homebrew receipt. The app updated itself from 3.7.0 to 3.8.0. Default-selected app and cache/storage entries were removed; the Chinese-name support row stayed unchecked, and the SodaMusic and luna_pc folders were retained in a collection gap later covered by Mole. No sign-in, playlist or download recovery, or Homebrew uninstall was tested.

If Mac apps leave files behind after uninstalling, try Mole. I've personally tested and inspected 799 Mac apps.
