How to Uninstall Numi on Mac

Copy any Numi calculations you want to reuse before removing the app. The recorded test saw an app-named support folder and a separate shared folder, but it did not establish the contents or owner of every shared file. The recorded test used a direct download, not a Homebrew installation.

Remove the app and inspect its data

Quit Numi and its helper, then move Numi.app from Applications to Trash. Inspect the app support folder before removing history or preferences; leave the Shared folder under Users to a separate ownership review. The app-named support folder held 8 KB in the test. Homebrew also names a Numi folder under the shared Users location, which a manual zap would remove even though Mole did not claim it in the test. Vendor guidance.

Check the result

Run this read-only check after quitting the app. A printed path still exists; “No such file or directory” means that path is absent, while a permission error needs its own investigation.

If you installed it with Homebrew

The Homebrew cask has a zap list that includes Numi application support, crash reports, caches, extension container and preferences, plus a Shared-folder path; inspect that path rather than copying Mole’s selection. Run the command below without --zap if you want to keep those files and inspect them separately. A manual --zap follows the whole cask list regardless of Mole’s checkboxes. Mole uses zap only when its targets are selected, owned and within the checked boundary; otherwise it removes selected remnants through its own flow.

What Mole lists

The display-name support folder is for review, unselected by default; exact bundle-ID cache and preferences are normally selected. A Shared-folder path is not automatically a Mole remnant.

What this test covered

Numi 3.32 was removed on September 20, 2026. Its 8 KB support folder was observed, while the empty Shared-folder entry was deliberately left alone. No substantive calculation history was created for recovery testing.
