How to uninstall Notta on Mac
Save wanted Notta recordings and transcripts before removing the Mac app. Check copies outside the app's local data and verify any records expected in your online workspace; a local folder copy alone is not proof of cloud synchronization or complete recovery. Stop recording and transcription, then fully quit Notta before copying wanted contents of the observed ~/Library/Application Support/@notta.
Remove the desktop app
After checking saved work, follow Apple's app-removal instructions to move Notta.app from Applications to the Trash. Keep exported recordings and transcripts at their actual locations. This guide does not provide a verified current export-menu or subscription-cancellation flow, so retain local data until the needed copies are confirmed.
ls -ld "/Applications/Notta.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/@notta"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to those locations; permission errors leave them unknown. Keeping support data is expected if retaining local work. These checks do not establish cloud record deletion or transcription recovery.
What Mole lists
The selected app and exact own preferences/cache leaves are normally checked when present and unprotected. Review the observed @notta support folder and uncheck it when keeping local work. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; eligible reviewed data may be included when enabled, while shared stores retain their boundaries.
What this test covered
The maintainer-installed official app and selected local support, preferences, cache and recent-document data were removed with source-built Mole on October 4, 2026. Populated transcript recovery, cloud workspace changes, Status and update behavior were not verified.
