How to uninstall Notion Mail on Mac
Check wanted mail, attachments and existing exports before removing Notion Mail. Preserve drafts and client-specific settings separately from mail already held by your email provider. Quit the app before copying wanted contents from ~/Library/Application Support/Notion Mail; a local support copy does not prove complete mailbox recovery or that a cloud export is still available.
Remove the desktop client
Move Notion Mail.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved work. Keep the Notion account, other Notion apps and mail-provider access separately. This guide does not provide a verified current cloud export or account-deletion flow.
For Homebrew, the current cask supports:
brew uninstall --cask notion-mail
Ordinary removal removes the app. Zap additionally targets its recent-document list, Notion Mail support and logs, matching preference files and saved state. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections and can erase retained client state; it is not a mailbox or account deletion action.
ls -ld "/Applications/Notion Mail.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Notion Mail"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to these locations; permission errors leave them unknown. These checks do not verify cloud data, local draft recovery or every updater job.
What Mole lists
The selected app and exact unprotected preference/cache leaves can be checked. The display-name support and log folders need review and are unchecked by default. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default and may include eligible reviewed data when enabled, while shared accounts and other Notion products stay separate.
What this test covered
The maintainer-installed official client and selected local data were removed with source-built Mole on October 3, 2026. The selected original paths were absent afterward; a non-running ShipIt session job remained. Mailbox service state, populated draft recovery, account deletion and Homebrew-managed uninstall were not tested.
