How to uninstall Noi on Mac
Save wanted Noi history, prompts and generated work before removing the app. The official README describes local-first history and settings, plus an optional noi command. Quit Noi and copy wanted contents from the observed ~/Library/Application Support/Noi to a checked backup before resetting it.
Remove the app and review the optional launcher
Move Noi.app from Applications to the Trash after checking the backup. Keep original documents and online accounts used inside Noi separately. If you installed a command launcher, locate what your shell actually resolves:
command -v noi
A printed value may be a path, alias or function; it is not automatically a removable file. If it is a user-created link, inspect its target in Finder and remove only that link when it is confirmed to launch this app and is no longer needed. Keep any differently owned command or uncertain target. No output only means this shell cannot find noi, not that every installation is absent.
Check the result
ls -ld "/Applications/Noi.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Noi"
Printed paths remain. No such file or directory means that exact item is absent; permission errors leave it unknown. A retained support folder is expected if keeping local data. These checks do not verify online accounts, every launcher or conversation recovery.
What Mole lists
The display-name support folder is reviewed and unchecked by default. The optional command launcher is not established by this app-removal record; do not assume it is removed automatically. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; eligible reviewed data can be included when enabled, with shared and protected data retaining its boundaries.
What this test covered
The official Apple Silicon Mac app and selected support data were removed with a source-built Mole on September 22, 2026. A recent-document entry remained. Populated history, prompt recovery, account deletion and the optional command-line launcher were not tested.
