How to uninstall Native Access on Mac
Keep music projects, instruments and content libraries before removing Native Access. The official product page describes a product-management app; its removal is not a command to delete every installed instrument. Finish installs, quit the app and copy wanted manager state from ~/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Native Access before resetting it.
Review full-installation scope first
For the recorded app-only case, move Native Access.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved state. No daemon or instrument was installed in this run. An existing NTKDaemon/helper installation needs a matching vendor removal procedure; this page does not claim that app deletion handled it.
For a Homebrew installation, read the current cask before using:
brew uninstall --cask native-access
Ordinary uninstall unloads the Helper2 service, quits its listed app, and deletes the entire system Native Instruments support directory plus a system NTKDaemon preference and Helper2 executable. That support target is broader than this manager. Keep the installation intact and confirm the shared scope before running it if other NI products remain. Zap also has broad user Native Instruments support/preference targets, crash reports, caches and saved state. Direct zap ignores Mole selections; neither ordinary nor zap is an app-only reset.
ls -ld "/Applications/Native Access.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Native Access"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to these locations; permission errors leave them unknown. These checks do not verify instruments, shared helpers or content-library recovery.
What Mole lists
The selected app and exact preference can be checked when present and unprotected. Manager support needs review; keep the broader Native Instruments parent and libraries used by other products. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default, while shared content retains individual review.
What this test covered
The official app and selected manager data were removed with source-built Mole on October 3, 2026. First launch stopped at the license agreement without accepting it or installing instruments or a daemon. Full helper removal, library restoration and Homebrew-managed uninstall were not tested.
