How to Uninstall 幕布 on Mac

Open the web version and confirm the latest outline edits are there before removing 幕布. Export important documents individually if you need independent copies; the vendor says bulk export is unavailable. The recorded test used a direct download, not a Homebrew installation.

Remove the app and inspect its data

Quit 幕布 and move the app from Applications to Trash. In Finder, inspect the Mubu support folder before touching local drafts that may not have synced. ~/Library/Application Support/Mubu/mubu_app_data is the vendor-documented Mac data location; copy its storage and mubu_data folders if recent changes are missing on the web. The display-name 幕布 folder was a separate empty local observation; do not assume it is the only data store. Vendor guidance.

Check the result

Run this read-only check after quitting the app. A printed path still exists; “No such file or directory” means that path is absent, while a permission error needs its own investigation.

If you installed it with Homebrew

The Homebrew cask has a zap list that includes Application Support/幕布, preferences and saved state; its separately documented Application Support/Mubu data folder needs care. Run the command below without --zap if you want to keep those files and inspect them separately. A manual --zap follows the whole cask list regardless of Mole’s checkboxes. Mole uses zap only when its targets are selected, owned and within the checked boundary; otherwise it removes selected remnants through its own flow.

What Mole lists

The exact Application Support/Mubu leaf and the display-name Application Support/幕布 leaf are review rows, unselected by default. Bundle-ID cache and preferences can be selected by default. Mole leaves the local data folder unselected by default; review it before opting in.

What this test covered

The 6.0.1 official package was removed on September 20, 2026. With review items selected, the empty 幕布 support folder was removed; the 1.8 MB Mubu data folder remained for separate review. The test did not sign in or verify sync or exports.
