How to uninstall Loop on Mac
Keep a record of wanted Loop shortcuts and preferences before removing the window manager. Its official README describes its radial-menu window controls. Quit Loop before copying any wanted local settings, and keep the documents open in other apps separately.
Remove Loop
Move Loop.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved settings. For Homebrew, the current cask supports:
brew uninstall --cask loop
Ordinary uninstall quits Loop and removes its app. Zap additionally targets the exact Application Scripts, cache, HTTP storage and preference leaves, plus Application Support/Loop. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections. Do not use the unrelated loop-messenger cask for this window manager.
ls -ld "/Applications/Loop.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Preferences/com.MrKai77.Loop.plist"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to these locations; permission errors leave them unknown. These checks do not verify every setting, permission or iCloud synchronization token.
What Mole lists
The selected app and exact identifier leaves are normally checked when present and unprotected. The display-name support folder is reviewed and unchecked by default. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default and may include eligible reviewed data when enabled. System-owned iCloud key-value synchronization tokens are kept rather than treated as an app folder to delete.
What this test covered
The official app and selected local data were removed on September 25, 2026. A system-owned iCloud key-value token remained. Populated shortcut restoration, permission revocation and Homebrew-managed uninstall were not tested.
