How to uninstall LobsterAI on Mac
Save LobsterAI task results and original project files before removing the app. The current project README describes local SQLite sessions and OpenClaw workspace memory; saved output files alone are not a complete session backup. If you cannot verify the session backup, keep local app data and remove only the app copy.
Finish tasks and remove the app copy
Finish active tasks and quit LobsterAI before moving its app from Applications to the Trash. Keep the observed ~/lobsterai directory and any project folders you chose until you have checked their contents and backups. That home directory was empty and not collected in the recorded test, so it does not establish where all sessions or runtime state reside. Apple’s app-removal procedure
Keep independently installed agents, runtimes and their archives separately; the current README’s OpenClaw execution layer is not proof that this older app-removal test uninstalled every independent agent.
Check the result
ls -ld "$HOME/lobsterai"
pgrep -ifl 'LobsterAI'
A listed directory remains. A missing-path error concerns only this directory; permission errors leave it unknown. With no error, pgrep exit status 1 means no command line matched this name, while results need inspecting for the correct owner. Also check the app’s actual Finder location. These checks do not verify session recovery or every runtime.
What Mole lists
The selected app is included for removal and the scan shows attributable data rows. Uncheck any local session or workspace data you still need; this record does not name its complete storage inventory. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; enabling it includes eligible reviewed data, with shared stores, protected data and agent archives retaining their individual boundaries.
What this test covered
The copied official Mac app and selected support data were removed with a source-built Mole on September 22, 2026. The observed ~/lobsterai directory was not collected. Populated sessions, workspace-memory recovery or independent OpenClaw removal were not tested.
