How to uninstall iZotope Product Portal on Mac
Save audio projects and wanted iZotope presets before removing Product Portal. The current cask installs the manager through a privileged installer. Removing the manager is separate from removing plugins, transferring licenses or closing the account.
Remove the manager, retain the system component
Quit Product Portal before moving iZotope Product Portal.app from Applications to the Trash. The observed /Library/Application Support/iZotope/Product Portal was not selected and remained in the test. This page has not verified the current vendor uninstaller flow for that system directory; keep it and the installed remover until the matching vendor procedure is confirmed. Do not treat app removal as completion of the system-installation scope.
For Homebrew:
brew uninstall --cask izotope-product-portal
Ordinary uninstall deletes only the listed manager app. Zap additionally targets the whole user ~/Library/Application Support/iZotope and a saved-state path; the support root can contain other iZotope products' data. Direct --zap ignores Mole selections, so keep shared content and verify each product's needs before using it. The recipe does not list the observed system Product Portal directory.
ls -ld "/Applications/iZotope Product Portal.app"
ls -ld "/Library/Application Support/iZotope/Product Portal"
Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to those locations; permission errors leave them unknown. A retained system directory is expected here. These checks do not verify every installed plugin, license or uninstaller component.
What Mole lists
The selected app and exact own preference leaves are normally checked when present and unprotected. Keep the system Product Portal target and shared iZotope stores under separate review; they are not evidence of completed automatic removal. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default and does not make shared product data eligible for automatic selection.
What this test covered
The maintainer-installed official manager app was removed with source-built Mole on October 4, 2026. The selected existing preference was removed; another selected preference was already absent. The system Product Portal directory remained unselected. Vendor uninstaller execution, system-component removal, plugin or license changes, Status and update behavior were not verified.
