How to uninstall Genspark Super App on Mac
Save wanted Genspark Super App work before removing its Mac app. This guide covers the copied desktop app, distinct from Genspark Speakly; it does not establish cloud recovery or account deletion.
Preserve the local workspace
The recorded local data folder ~/Library/Application Support/gensparkaio contains workspace/spaces data alongside regenerable caches. Finish work and quit the app, then copy that entire existing folder outside all sync and removal roots and inspect the copy. Keep it if you cannot establish that wanted work is saved elsewhere. ~/Library/Logs/gensparkaio held app logs in the recorded run; logs are not a workspace backup.
After saving state, follow Apple’s Finder removal instructions and move the Genspark Super App bundle from Applications to the Trash in Finder, taking care to select Super App rather than Speakly. Keep the workspace folder unless you deliberately want its local contents gone and have verified your backup. Do not delete a shared vendor parent or account as a substitute for app removal.
Check the result
pgrep -ifl gensparkaio
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/gensparkaio" "$HOME/Library/Logs/gensparkaio"
No process match means the pattern found no matching arguments, not every possible Genspark process. Printed folders remain, expected when preserved. A missing-path error applies only to that exact folder; other errors leave the result unknown. None of these checks verifies cloud copies or Speakly removal.
What Mole lists
Review each actual row before removal. Exact app-ID cache and preference rows follow their default selection rules; reviewed app data starts unchecked with Remove data and settings with apps off, and eligible unshared rows may be preselected when it is enabled. Keep local workspace data unchecked if it is needed. The switch does not add a folder absent from the review list or prove that a cloud copy exists.
What this test covered
On September 22, 2026, the official-download Genspark Super App 1.0.1853 was copied into Applications, launched and removed. The review listed temporary cache and preferences, while ~/Library/Application Support/gensparkaio and ~/Library/Logs/gensparkaio were not listed and remained. A later local check identified workspace/spaces data in the support folder. Populated-workspace restoration, cloud/account removal and Homebrew were not tested.
