How to uninstall Flip Clock on Mac
Stop active timers and record wanted clock themes and alarm settings before removing Flip Clock. Developer’s listing
This guide covers the tested Mac App Store app. Keep installations on other devices separately; removing the Mac copy does not verify their timers or settings.
Quit and remove the app
Quit Flip Clock, then inspect ~/Library/Containers/com.cuilingshi.flipclock using Finder’s Go › Go to Folder. Copy wanted local contents and check the backup before resetting them. Then move flipclock.app from Applications to the Trash.
The observed ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.cuilingshi.flipclock and ~/Library/Application Scripts/group.com.cuilingshi.flipclock are separate group data; back up wanted contents and retain them if another copy needs them.
Check the result
ls -ld "/Applications/flipclock.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/com.cuilingshi.flipclock"
Printed paths remain. No such file or directory means that exact item is absent; permission errors leave it unknown. A kept container is expected when preserving data; these checks do not inspect other devices or saved originals.
What Mole lists
The exact main container is selected by default when present and unprotected. Its exact group store and group scripts are also selected, as are the confirmed bundled FlipClockDesktopWidget container and scripts. Group removal still needs ownership checks. Uncheck wanted local data. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; enabling it includes eligible reviewed data, while shared and protected items retain their boundaries.
What this test covered
The Mac App Store app was removed on September 21, 2026, while its initial container scan was not included and widget data was unchecked. A September 26 repeat with a source-built Mole removed the app and selected local rows. No alarm behavior or synchronization was tested.
