How to uninstall Fireflies on Mac

Save wanted Fireflies meeting content before removing its Mac app. The download guide uses Meetings › meeting › Download for transcripts, summaries and available recordings. Downloads require Pro or higher; video is available only when recorded. Verify the downloaded files and keep a copy outside sync/removal folders.

Stop capture and preserve state

If recording is active, use Stop in the desktop Live Assist pane and choose Save Recording for wanted content. To stop future bot attendance, the meeting-control guide uses Dashboard or Settings › Auto-record meetings or Auto-join calendar meetings › Only when I invite fred@fireflies.ai. For an already scheduled meeting, turn it off under Upcoming or remove its bot invitation from the calendar event. App removal alone does not change these account-side options.

Quit Fireflies, then copy wanted existing ~/Library/Application Support/Fireflies outside all sync and removal roots and inspect the copy. That locally observed support folder is separate from downloaded meeting exports. After saving state, follow Apple's Finder removal instructions and move Fireflies.app from Applications to the Trash. Manage subscriptions separately; do not delete cloud meetings merely to uninstall the app.

Check the result

No process match means no arguments matched this pattern. Inspect a surviving process's path; a printed support folder remains, expected if retained. A missing-path error concerns that exact folder, while other errors are inconclusive. Check upcoming meetings and auto-join separately, and open your exports to verify them.

What Mole lists

The display-name support folder needs review and starts unchecked with Remove data and settings with apps off. Enabling it can preselect eligible unshared app data, so uncheck wanted state after backing it up. Local removal does not disconnect calendar/bot settings, and system-managed recent-document records should not be cleared by deleting a shared Apple database.

What this test covered

On September 22, 2026, the official-download Fireflies 0.2.3 app was copied into Applications, launched and removed with its selected support folder. A recent-document record remained. Meeting recording/export, calendar/auto-join changes, account recovery and Homebrew were not tested.
