How to uninstall Fast CAD Reader on Mac

Save drawings, annotations and referenced project files before removing Fast CAD Reader (CAD快速看图). Its publisher's listing describes DWG/DXF viewing and cloud synchronization. Verify wanted synced drawings separately and keep an independent local copy; deleting the viewer is not a way to delete a project. The recorded test used the Mac App Store edition.

    Save drawings and quit

Save changes and export any annotations or results you want to keep, then open the saved copies to check them. If you use the cloud feature and have another available synced device, verify wanted files there. Keep independent copies outside every sync root and removal folder. Quit CAD快速看图, copy the existing local container below if retaining app state, and verify it before clearing originals.

Move CAD快速看图.app from Applications to the Trash in Finder. Keep drawing folders, external references and exported PDFs or measurement results.

    Review local app data

The App Store test identified ~/Library/Containers/com.glodonyuntu.cadreadermac and ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.glodonyuntu.cadreadermac. Open existing entries with Finder's Go › Go to Folder after quitting and remove only unwanted confirmed-owned app state. Keep original drawings and the shared parent directories; container presence does not prove that unsynced annotations are recoverable.

If you installed it with Homebrew

The current cadreader cask manages CAD快速看图.app from the vendor's DMG and declares no separate ordinary uninstall step.

    brew uninstall --cask cadreader

Its zap list names only ~/Library/Preferences/com.glodonyuntu.cadreadermac.plist, not the App Store container above. Back up wanted preferences before a reset. A direct brew uninstall --cask --zap cadreader ignores Mole's checkboxes. Mole uses zap only when the whole scope passes selection, ownership and safety checks; selected remnants otherwise use its own Trash flow. This download channel was not tested in the recorded App Store runs.

    Check the result

    pgrep -ifl 'CAD快速看图|CADReader'
    ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/com.glodonyuntu.cadreadermac"

No process match means this pattern found no matching arguments; identify a surviving match before quitting it. A printed container remains, expected if retained. A missing-path error means that exact folder is absent; permissions or command errors leave the result unknown. Drawings staying in your project folders is intentional.

    What Mole lists

The main container and scripts folder are selected by default, so back up and uncheck wanted local state before removal. A present exact bundle-ID preference row is also selected by default. The optional app-data preference does not turn selected app state into a verified drawing backup, and these rows do not own arbitrary project folders.

    What this test covered

The Mac App Store 4.2.3 app was removed on September 21 and retested on September 26, 2026. The later run removed the app and selected original data paths. Drawing editing, annotation recovery, cloud synchronization and Homebrew uninstall were not tested.

If Mac apps leave files behind after uninstalling, try Mole. I've personally tested and inspected 799 Mac apps.
