How to uninstall Draw Things on Mac
Save wanted drawings, editable work and model files before removing Draw Things. Keep models at their actual saved locations; the recorded first-launch container was not a populated model-library test. Quit the app, inspect ~/Library/Containers/com.liuliu.draw-things in Finder’s Go › Go to Folder, and copy wanted local contents to a checked backup before resetting it.
Remove the app
Move Draw Things.app from Applications to the Trash using Apple’s app-removal procedure. Keep separately stored models, source images and exported results. This procedure does not establish every model or generated-image location.
If you installed it with Homebrew
brew uninstall --cask draw-things
The current cask requests that the app quit and manages its app bundle. Zap additionally targets ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.liuliu.draw-things and ~/Library/Containers/com.liuliu.draw-things. Direct brew uninstall --cask --zap draw-things uses both targets independently of Mole’s checkboxes; keep the no-zap command when retaining local data. Mole uses zap only when the complete scope passes selection and shared-data checks, otherwise selected remnants use its own removal flow.
Check the result
ls -ld "/Applications/Draw Things.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/com.liuliu.draw-things"
Printed paths remain. A missing-path error means that exact item is absent; permission errors leave it unknown. A kept or denied container does not mean the app bundle remains, and these commands do not search external model stores or verify image recovery.
What Mole lists
The exact main container and scripts are selected by default when present and unprotected; uncheck local data you need. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; opting in includes eligible reviewed data, while shared and protected stores keep their boundaries. The recorded container denial is not evidence of successful data removal.
What this test covered
The copied official Mac app was launched and removed with a source-built Mole on September 22, 2026. Its main container remained after a macOS permission denial. Model-library removal, generated-image recovery or a Homebrew-managed uninstall were not tested.
