How to uninstall Cluely on Mac
Save wanted Cluely meeting work and transcripts before removing the Mac app. The tested app displayed Cluely (New), but it is one Cluely product, not a reason to remove another app by name. Quit capture and the desktop app before copying local data; removing the app does not delete online meeting history or cancel a plan.
Review local folders and remove the app
The recorded local folders were ~/Library/Application Support/cluely-v2, ~/Library/Application Support/cluely-v2-april22 and ~/Library/Logs/cluely-v2. Inspect them through Finder’s Go › Go to Folder and copy wanted contents to a checked backup. Keep them if another Cluely copy still needs them or their contents are unclear; the test did not collect these folders.
After checking the backup, locate the tested Cluely app in Finder and move its actual bundle to the Trash using Apple’s app-removal procedure. Keep original meeting files and other apps; do not recursively delete every folder containing cluely.
Check the result
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Application Support/cluely-v2" "$HOME/Library/Application Support/cluely-v2-april22" "$HOME/Library/Logs/cluely-v2"
pgrep -ifl 'Cluely'
Printed paths remain. A missing-path error concerns only that item; permission errors leave it unknown. With no error, pgrep exit status 1 means no command line matched this name, while results need ownership inspection. Check the app’s actual Finder location too. This does not verify online meetings, other copies or every independent helper.
What Mole lists
The selected app is included for removal. The observed folders were not collected in this test; a name-based folder offered for review is unchecked by default, and the actual row must be inspected rather than assumed. Uncheck local work you need. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; enabling it includes eligible reviewed data while shared stores and protected data retain their boundaries.
What this test covered
The copied official Mac app was removed with a source-built Mole on September 22, 2026. The three observed local folders and a recent-document entry remained. Actual meeting capture, populated transcript recovery, account deletion and every background component were not tested.
