How to uninstall 智谱清言 on Mac
If you used 智谱清言, export or copy conversations and generated files you need using controls in your account, then check the saved copies. The official privacy policy describes PC-side file access, but this test never signed in. Local cache removal is not account deletion; account history and uploaded documents need checking in the service.
The recorded test used the official Mac package; the Homebrew route below is separate.
Remove the app
Quit 智谱清言 and move 智谱清言.app from Applications to Trash. Keep source documents that you selected for analysis in their original locations. Review local chatglm support and logs separately; neither is proof of what remains in the online account.
Review local data
The path below is documented in the current Homebrew cask. In Finder, use Go › Go to Folder to inspect it. Do not remove its parent directory or another product’s data.

The tested package uses bundle ID com.zhipu.chatglm. Review only files that actually appear on this Mac. A missing path needs no cleanup.

Check what remains
Run these read-only commands after quitting the app:

ls -d "$HOME/Library/Application Support/chatglm"
No process output means there is no matching process running now; it does not prove every helper is gone. A listed process needs its owner checked. If ls prints the path, that item remains and needs review. “No such file or directory” means this path is absent; a permission error means its state was not established.
If you installed it with Homebrew
The current chatglm cask has a zap list covering Application Support/chatglm, Logs/chatglm and the app preference file. A direct brew command with --zap applies the cask list without consulting Mole’s checkboxes. After backing up, use this command without --zap:
brew uninstall --cask chatglm
Mole checks each zap path against your selections, other installed apps, and protected locations. An unchecked, shared, or unverifiable path suppresses --zap; selected remnants can still use Mole’s own removal flow. This cask was not the recorded installation channel.
What Mole lists
Mole selects exact com.zhipu.chatglm preferences and HTTP storage by default. Application Support/chatglm and Logs/chatglm are display-name review rows and start unchecked. A separate account or cloud history is outside the local removal result.
What this test covered
The official universal DMG 2.0.5 was removed on September 20, 2026 without signing in. The tester did not expand review before removal: preferences, HTTP storage and a Darwin helper went, while 14 MB Application Support/chatglm and 4 KB Logs/chatglm stayed. This is an unchecked-review outcome, not a proven scanner miss.
