How to uninstall AutoClaw on Mac
Save wanted AutoClaw work and any files it created before removing the app. Copy the files you need to a separate backup and open the copies. This guide covers the copied Mac app and the recorded removal; it does not provide a verified inventory of every local session, workspace or account store.
Quit and remove the app copy
Finish active tasks and quit AutoClaw before moving AutoClaw.app from Applications to the Trash using Apple’s app-removal procedure. Keep original project files, other AI tools and shared runtimes. Review data you want to retain before selecting it; do not delete folders by an assumed AutoClaw name.
Check the result
ls -ld "/Applications/AutoClaw.app"
pgrep -ifl '/Applications/AutoClaw[.]app/'
A printed app path remains. No such file or directory concerns only that path; permission errors leave it unknown. With no error, pgrep exit status 1 means no command line matched this app path, while a result needs inspection in Activity Monitor. This does not prove that independent agents, other copies or account data are absent.
What Mole lists
The selected app is included for removal, along with attributable rows shown by the scan. Inspect the actual data rows and retain wanted work; this record does not name every local-data path. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; enabling it includes eligible reviewed data, while shared stores, protected data and agent archives retain their individual boundaries.
What this test covered
The official copied Mac app and selected support data were removed using a source-built Mole on September 22, 2026. A child cache was already missing after its parent had been removed. The record did not verify populated task recovery, account deletion or every independent component.
