How to uninstall Amphetamine on Mac

Keep wanted Amphetamine trigger settings before removal and end any active keep-awake session. The current App Store publisher description describes manual sessions and automatic triggers. Quit the menu-bar app before copying wanted contents of ~/Library/Containers/com.if.Amphetamine to a checked backup.

Remove the keep-awake app

Move Amphetamine.app from Applications to the Trash after checking saved settings. Keep other utilities and their data separately. Removing the app does not validate the behavior of every separately installed companion or system sleep setting.

Printed paths remain. Missing-path errors apply only to those locations; permission errors leave them unknown. A retained container is expected when keeping trigger settings, and the checks do not verify their restoration or system sleep behavior.

What Mole lists

The selected app, exact main container and scripts are normally checked when present and unprotected. Uncheck the container if keeping triggers and preferences. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default, with shared system data and other utilities staying separate.

What this test covered

The maintainer-installed Mac App Store app and selected container/scripts were removed with source-built Mole on October 4, 2026. Populated trigger recovery, companion-component removal, Status and update behavior were not verified.
