How to uninstall AirShot on Mac
Record wanted wallpaper and altitude preferences before removing AirShot. The developer’s App Store listing describes automatic aerial wallpapers. This guide covers the tested Mac App Store app.
Quit and remove AirShot
Quit AirShot from its menu-bar app. In Finder’s Go › Go to Folder, inspect ~/Library/Containers/com.deHaan.AirShot, copy wanted local contents and check the backup before deciding to reset it. Then move AirShot.app from Applications to the Trash. Keep Apple wallpaper settings and other wallpaper apps.
Check the result
ls -ld "/Applications/AirShot.app"
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/com.deHaan.AirShot"
Printed paths remain. No such file or directory means that exact item is absent; permission errors leave its state unknown. A retained container is expected when keeping local data; this check does not verify wallpaper preferences elsewhere.
What Mole lists
The exact main container ~/Library/Containers/com.deHaan.AirShot and main scripts ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.deHaan.AirShot are selected by default when present and unprotected. Uncheck data you want to retain. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default; opting in also selects eligible reviewed data, while shared and protected items keep their boundaries.
What this test covered
The Mac App Store app was removed on September 21, 2026, with its container initially retained after a system denial. A September 26 repeat using a source-built Mole removed the app and selected local rows. This does not verify wallpaper and location workflows or every possible leftover.
