How to uninstall Adobe Bridge on Mac

Save original images, edited files and wanted Bridge preferences before removal. The current Adobe removal instructions use Creative Cloud desktop: Apps > All Apps > More actions for Bridge > Uninstall. Close Bridge first, then choose Keep if retaining its preferences or review Remove before resetting them.

Remove this Adobe product first

Keep Creative Cloud and Bridge's installed uninstall alias available until the product removal completes. The recorded app sits inside /Applications/Adobe Bridge 2026/, with its own Uninstall Adobe Bridge 2026 alias. Do not delete shared Adobe stores or Creative Cloud merely to remove Bridge.

The Homebrew adobe-creative-cloud recipe manages the Creative Cloud client and shared services, not a standalone Bridge app. Its ordinary service and installer removal and broad zap are not substitutes for selecting Bridge in Adobe's product flow.

A printed directory remains; it does not prove the Bridge app is still inside. A missing-path error applies only to this version's directory, and permission errors leave it unknown. This check does not verify Creative Cloud licensing or every Adobe service.

What Mole lists

The selected app is checked by default. A confirmed Adobe product directory with its own uninstall alias can be listed separately, and its size excludes the app already counted. Product-folder removal follows app removal. Keep Common 26.0, dynamiclinkmediaserver, CSXS and Camera Raw data used by other Adobe apps. Remove data and settings with apps is off by default, and shared stores keep individual review.

What this test covered

The Bridge product installed through official Creative Cloud was removed with a locally signed source-built Mole on September 26, 2026. The selected app and product data were removed after its main and background processes stopped. Shared Adobe data remained. The vendor uninstall flow, populated image-work recovery, Status and startup before/after behavior were not verified.
