How to uninstall 360 Jisu Browser on Mac
Save bookmarks, passwords and wanted downloads before removing 360 Jisu Browser (360极速浏览器). Its publisher's listing describes syncing favorites after signing in; that is not proof every local item is backed up. This guide covers the Mac App Store app identified as com.qihoo.litebrowserx, not a Windows browser or another 360 product.
Save browser data before removal
If you use syncing and have another available signed-in device, verify wanted favorites there. Independently preserve credentials and local bookmarks you need. Save work in open tabs, quit the browser, then copy the existing ~/Library/Containers/com.qihoo.litebrowserx outside every sync root and removal folder. Verify the copy, keeping original data if recovery of wanted credentials has not been confirmed.
Move 360极速浏览器.app from Applications to the Trash in Finder. Keep files you downloaded into folders you chose, and do not delete another browser's profile to remove this one.
Review recorded local paths
The App Store record identifies ~/Library/Containers/com.qihoo.litebrowserx and ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.qihoo.litebrowserx. The main container is local app data, not one disposable cache. Open these paths with Finder's Go › Go to Folder after quitting and trash only unwanted confirmed-owned entries after verifying backups, keeping their parent directories.
Check the result
pgrep -ifl '360极速浏览器|litebrowserx'
ls -ld "$HOME/Library/Containers/com.qihoo.litebrowserx"
No process match means no arguments matched those names; identify a surviving match before quitting it. A printed container remains, expected if retained. A missing-path error means that exact folder is absent; other errors are inconclusive. A surviving folder does not establish that bookmarks or passwords can be restored.
What Mole lists
For this recorded App Store identity, the main container and scripts folder are selected by default. Do not assume that a browser label alone protects these rows: back up and uncheck wanted local browsing data. The optional app-data setting does not change these exact-main-app defaults; no checkbox is a substitute for a verified backup.
What this test covered
The September 21, 2026 removal used an App Store copy that was not launched. On September 26 the same 1.0.4 edition was opened and removed, with selected original data paths moved to the Trash. Separate WebKit temporary entries were still seen later. Sign-in, populated browsing data, bookmark synchronization and password recovery were not tested.
