How to uninstall Xunjie Screen Recorder on Mac
迅捷屏幕录像工具 (Xunjie Screen Recorder, com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture) installs from an official package, and that package does two things beyond copying the app: it registers an installer receipt, and its postinstall script installs a third-party virtual audio driver, BlackHole 2ch, into /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL. Your recordings are ordinary files in whatever folder you saved them to, so removing the app does not delete them; check where the app saves before you start, and copy anything you want out of ~/Library/Application Support/OSXScreenCapture too. The tested build, 1.3.0.2, is Intel-only and runs under Rosetta on Apple silicon. This guide covers that official package.
Quit the recorder and remove the app
- Quit the recorder. In the recorded test it ran 2 processes, which Mole's Status page showed as one row.
- Move 迅捷屏幕录像工具 from Applications to the Trash in Finder.
- No login item, launch agent or update feed turned up in the test.
Where the recorder keeps its data
In Finder, press Shift + Command + G and type the path. Skip any path that is not on your Mac.
| Location | What it holds | What to do |
|---|---|---|
~/Library/Preferences/com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture.plist |
Recorder preferences | Remove with the app. Mole selects it. |
~/Library/Caches/com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture and ~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture |
Caches | Remove with the app. Mole selects them. |
The temporary cache folder com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture under your user cache root (getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR) |
Temporary cache | Remove with the app. Mole selects it. |
~/Library/Application Support/OSXScreenCapture |
The recorder's own data (about 74 MB in the test) | Open it first and move out anything you recognise as yours. Mole lists it and does not select it. |
~/Library/Application Support/HuDun/Bee Editor |
A folder the vendor shares across its products | Not listed by Mole. Other apps from the same vendor may use it, so leave it unless you have none of them. |
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/BlackHole2ch.driver |
BlackHole 2ch, a third-party virtual audio device installed by the package | Not removed by Mole. See the next section. |
The BlackHole 2ch audio driver
BlackHole is a separate open-source project, ExistentialAudio/BlackHole, and other apps may route audio through it: OBS, a loopback or multi-output setup, a podcast tool. Mole does not claim it because it cannot tell which of those you use. Decide like this:
- Open System Settings › Sound and look for “BlackHole 2ch” among the input and output devices, and open Audio MIDI Setup for any aggregate or multi-output device that includes it.
- If something you use depends on it, keep it.
- If nothing does, move
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/BlackHole2ch.driverto the Trash in Finder (Shift + Command + G, then the full path). macOS asks for an administrator password because the folder belongs to the system. The project's own README lists uninstaller packages and a manual removal. - Restart the Mac. The system audio service keeps a loaded driver in memory until it restarts, so BlackHole 2ch can still appear in the Sound list right after you move the file.
Check the result
pgrep -fil '迅捷屏幕录像工具|OSXScreenCapture'
ls -d "$HOME/Library/Preferences/com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture.plist" "$HOME/Library/Application Support/OSXScreenCapture" "$HOME/Library/Application Support/HuDun"
ls -d "$(getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR)"com.MIT.OSXScreenCapture*
ls -d /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/BlackHole2ch.driver
pkgutil --pkgs | grep -i hudun
- No output from
pgrepmeans no process with the app's name orOSXScreenCapturein its command line was found. A printed line means the recorder is still running. - A path printed by
lsstill exists; No such file or directoryapplies to that path only.HuDunmay stay on purpose, as above. - For the line with
*, zsh, the default shell on macOS, printsno matches foundwhen no temporary cache folder is left, which is the result you want. - A printed
BlackHole2ch.drivermeans the driver is still installed, which is the normal state unless you removed it. - A line from
pkgutil --pkgs(the recorder's receipt iscom.hudun.recordscreen) means the installer receipt is still registered. It is a record only and holds no files; Mole forgets it during the uninstall.
What Mole lists
Mole selects the app, the preferences file, the two cache folders and the temporary cache folder when they are present. It lists ~/Library/Application Support/OSXScreenCapture for review without selecting it. With “Remove data and settings with apps” in General › Cleaning on, Mole ticks that folder too, so open it before you turn the setting on. After the app is moved, Mole forgets the com.hudun.recordscreen receipt. It does not list or remove BlackHole2ch.driver, ~/Library/Application Support/HuDun, your recordings, or the Rosetta installation.
What this test covered
On October 20, 2026, the official 迅捷屏幕录像工具 1.3.0.2 package was installed and the recorder was launched under Rosetta without signing in, then uninstalled with Mole with every listed row ticked. Mole listed five rows next to the app, including the 74 MB Application Support folder, and all of them went to the Trash with the app; Mole also forgot the com.hudun.recordscreen receipt. Status showed one row with 2 processes. Mole's startup items showed no login item or launch agent before or after, and the app has no update feed Mole reads. The package had also installed BlackHole 2ch and the vendor's HuDun folder, which Mole left in place; they were moved to the Trash by hand afterwards, the driver through an administrator step, and the driver stayed loaded because the audio service was not restarted. Whether the app creates recordings inside its own data folder was not checked, and there is no Homebrew cask for this app.
