How to uninstall Toggl Track on Windows
This guide covers the official Toggl Track 10.18.1 installer in the current user's scope. Confirm that the time records you need are synced or exported before uninstalling; this test did not sign in or create time records.
Quit and uninstall
Close Toggl Track, then uninstall it from Windows Settings. Its registered Squirrel uninstaller handles the program; do not replace uninstalling with deleting the folder.
What Mole lists
%LOCALAPPDATA%\TogglTrack was the program folder in this test. The whole %LOCALAPPDATA%\Toggl Track data folder needs review and starts unchecked. Shortcuts, owned protocols, the startup entry and usage records are handled through the review. Leave the data row unchecked to keep local data. %LOCALAPPDATA%\Sentry is an SDK namespace used by multiple apps; the remaining hash folder's ownership was not verified, so it was retained.
Check the result
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\TogglTrack"
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\Toggl Track"
Test-Path 'HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Classes\toggltrack'
Test-Path 'HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\TogglTrack'
True means this query found the location; False means it did not. Permission or query errors leave the result unverified. This test also selected the review data. After one normal user-scope uninstall, independent checks found the exact registration, program and selected paths absent, with no owned processes in either the user or SYSTEM sample.
What this test covered
Tested on 7 October 2026 in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM with a source-built Mole. First launch, the native icon, size, Status, Startup, Updates and uninstall review were observed. The startup entry was toggled and restored without signing in or creating time records. The update provider listed no Toggl Track update, which does not prove this was the latest version. Time-record sync, retention, restoration, external uninstall detection, a real upgrade and the downloadable Mole package were not tested.
