How to uninstall Xunlei Player on Windows

Before removing 迅雷影音 (Xunlei Player), make sure the videos you watch with it are stored in your own folders, and back up anything you saved inside its program folder. This guide covers 迅雷影音 7.1.27.164 installed machine-wide through winget. The 迅雷 download client is a separate app with its own guide, and it uses the same Thunder Network folders.

Quit 迅雷影音

Close the player, then use Ctrl+Shift+Esc to check Task Manager; the test showed xmp.exe and DownloadSDKServer.exe, six processes in all. The test showed no startup entry.

Uninstall with the player's own window

Open Settings › Apps › Installed apps, select 迅雷影音 and choose Uninstall; Windows 10 calls this page Apps & features. In the test, XmpUninstall.exe showed a feedback window; the reasons are optional, and choosing 反馈并卸载 (send feedback and uninstall) with none ticked continued the removal.

For a winget installation:

winget starts the same registered uninstaller, so expect the same window. Uninstalling does not delete a Xunlei account or its membership.

A winget row means the package is still listed; empty output or a source error alone does not prove removal, so also check Installed apps. For each Test-Path, True means that folder exists, while False without an error means it does not. The last command lists the firewall programs that still point into the removed folder; no rows after a successful query means no such rule remains. An access error leaves any of these results unknown.

What Mole lists

With Remove data and settings with apps off, the test's rows are:

The install folder, selected with the Application row.
The 迅雷影音 and 卸载迅雷影音 Start Menu shortcuts under 迅雷软件\迅雷影音, selected by default.
%APPDATA%\xmpclient, listed but not selected.
The ed2k, magnet and thunder link registrations, selected by default because they pointed into the player's folder. If the 迅雷 download client owns those links on your PC, they point at its folder and are not listed.
The two folder right-click verbs XMPFolder1Play and XMPFolder2Add, selected by default.
Usage records for the player's program path, selected by default.

Select all and Also remove data include %APPDATA%\xmpclient. If the data-default preference is enabled, eligible app-owned AppData rows may start selected; registry entries do not. Files Mole removes go to the Recycle Bin, and registry entries are exported to a .reg backup before removal.

All listed rows were selected in the test. Mole removed %APPDATA%\xmpclient, the three link registrations and the usage records; the install folder, the shortcuts and the two right-click verbs were already absent after the vendor uninstaller. The two DownloadSDKServer firewall rules are named in the result and not removed. The vendor parent folder and key and the two ProgramData components are not listed.

What this test covered

迅雷影音 7.1.27.164 was installed machine-wide through winget and removed on October 21, 2026, in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM using a development build of Mole. Playback, signed-in data, membership, updates and the downloadable Mole package were not verified.
