How to uninstall Xiaomi Cloud on Windows
Xiaomi Cloud (小米云服务) shows the photos, notes and other data synced to your Xiaomi account; that data lives in Xiaomi's cloud, so uninstalling the PC app does not delete it. Download anything you want a local copy of first, and keep files you already saved to this PC, which stay where you saved them. This guide covers Xiaomi Cloud installed machine-wide from the Xiaomi.XiaomiCloud winget package; it shows in Settings as 小米云服务.
Quit Xiaomi Cloud first
Quit Xiaomi Cloud from its window or tray icon. It runs several 小米云服务.exe processes at once; check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) that none is still listed before you uninstall. It added no startup item in this test.
Remove the app with its own uninstaller
Go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find 小米云服务, and choose Uninstall, or run:
winget uninstall --id Xiaomi.XiaomiCloud
The uninstaller asks for administrator access, since the app was installed for all users.
Where the data lives
| Location | What it holds | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Program Files\MI\Xiaomi Cloud |
Program files | Left behind in this test; check it after the uninstall and remove it yourself |
Program Files\MI |
Folder shared by Xiaomi's PC apps | Leave it while another Xiaomi app, such as MIUI+, is installed |
%APPDATA%\XiaomiCloud |
Login, settings and the app's caches and logs | Keep it if you plan to reinstall; remove it to clear the saved login |
%APPDATA%\XiaomiCloudStorage |
Local storage for synced content | Empty in this test; check it before removing |
%LOCALAPPDATA%\XiaomiCloud-updater |
Downloaded update installers | Safe to remove |
| Start Menu and public desktop shortcuts | Shortcuts | The uninstaller removes them |
Check the result
Run these read-only commands after the uninstall finishes:
Get-Process 小米云服务 -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id Xiaomi.XiaomiCloud
Test-Path "$env:ProgramFiles\MI\Xiaomi Cloud"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\XiaomiCloud"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\XiaomiCloudStorage"
- No output from
Get-Processonly means this query observed no matching process; a suppressed error leaves the running state unknown. - A completed
winget listquery with no match means the package record is gone; a matching row means the uninstall did not finish. Test-Pathon the program folder returningTruemeans it is still there; removeXiaomi Clouditself, not theMIfolder above it.- The last two returning
Truemean your login, settings or local storage are still there, which is expected unless you removed them yourself.
Account
Uninstalling does not sign this PC out of your Xiaomi account on Xiaomi's side or delete anything in Xiaomi Cloud. Manage signed-in devices and cloud storage from your Xiaomi account.
What Mole lists

What this test covered
Tested on 2026-09-28 with Xiaomi Cloud 3.0.2 installed through winget, machine-wide, without signing in. The NSIS uninstaller ran silently, and every listed row was ticked and removed in this test. Not verified: a signed-in account, synced photos, or local storage with content.
