How to uninstall Wise Disk Cleaner on Windows

This guide covers the official Wise Disk Cleaner 11.2.7 machine Inno installer.

Back up settings and backups first

After quitting, copy %APPDATA%\Wise Disk Cleaner if you want to retain settings or backups. Check the copy before removing the original.

Uninstall the app

Uninstall Wise Disk Cleaner from Windows Settings. Its vendor uninstaller asks whether to delete configuration information that may contain backup files. The measured default was Yes. Mole's data checkbox does not override this vendor choice.

All four checks returned False in this batch. A query error does not prove absence.

What Mole lists

The program, two shortcuts and usage records are selected by default. The roaming settings folder is an unchecked ordinary Review row.

What this test covered

Tested on October 6, 2026, in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM with a Mole development build. The ordinary Review row was included and the vendor's default Yes was selected. Five outcomes were four Missing and one Removed. Independent registration, path and process readbacks confirmed removal; all three remaining snapshot entries belonged to a different Mole QA. The cleaner's Scan and cleanup functions were not used. Real cleanup, backup recovery, external uninstall and the released Mole package were not tested.
