How to uninstall WeSing on Windows
Export local recordings and drafts you need before uninstalling WeSing. A song visible in the app is not necessarily uploaded or recoverable from another device.
Save your data and quit
Open the account on another trusted device or the web to confirm which works are actually available online. Export local-only material through the client and open the copies before uninstalling. Stop recording, uploading and playback, then exit the client. Keep the account and membership decision separate.
Uninstall the tested package
In Windows 11, open Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find WeSing, and choose Uninstall. In Windows 10, use Settings › Apps › Apps & features. Keep the installed program folder intact until its uninstaller finishes. If this was the winget package, first confirm its exact identity:
winget list --id Tencent.WeSing --exact
If the successful query shows the intended installation, remove that package:
winget uninstall --id Tencent.WeSing --exact
This follows the package’s registered removal method; portable packages use their package-manager removal instead. An error or a missing winget match is not proof that the app is absent: check the Windows app list and the original installation method. Follow any vendor confirmation or restart request after saving other work. See Microsoft’s uninstall command documentation.
Data and components to check
The following locations or components need separate decisions. A remaining folder is not automatically disposable.
| Location or component | What to keep or check |
|---|---|
| Local recordings and drafts | Keep exports outside the program directory. Do not assume an unfinished upload is backed up. |
WeSingBS |
A separate component with its own uninstaller in the test. Do not remove its whole directory along with the main program. |
| Tencent WNS directories | Ownership of numeric children was not established; leave them rather than guessing from the publisher. |
See WeSing’s official website.
Check the outcome
winget list --id Tencent.WeSing --exact
A successful package query with no matching row means that package registration was not found. A matching row means it still exists; an error leaves the result unknown. Keep deliberately retained data. Check Task Manager for a process whose executable belongs to this installation, and distinguish another version or a separate companion app before acting.
What Mole lists
Mole cleans the installation folder used only by WeSing, including runtime DLLs left by its uninstaller. It leaves the separate WeSingBS component and WNS data whose ownership is unclear.
What this test covered
The Windows uninstall left two DLLs in WeSing’s own program folder. The corrected cleanup rule was tested on those files. Local-recording recovery, cloud account deletion, version upgrading and every companion component were not tested.
These results are from a development build of Mole. Other released builds were not individually tested.
