How to uninstall Unity Hub on Windows
This record covers Unity Hub 3.22.2.65535, installed through Unity.UnityHub with user scope. Back up the data folders below when retaining local data or settings.
Close the app
Close the app window and tray entry, then check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for Unity Hub.exe.
Data and settings
This run did not identify a separate data folder; data locations for other installation channels were not verified.
Remove with the vendor uninstaller
Find the app in Settings › Apps › Installed apps and uninstall it. For the measured winget installation, you can also run the command below.
winget uninstall --id Unity.UnityHub --exact
Check the result
Get-Process -Name 'Unity Hub' -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id Unity.UnityHub --exact
No process output means no matching process was observed. A completed winget query with no match means the package is no longer listed; an error does not prove removal.
What Mole lists
This run used the ARM64 MSIX package. The review selects %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\UnityTechnologies.UnityHub_2vrhnee42bhxm, and Windows package removal succeeded. The system WindowsAppInstaller update task and PATH used by other tools were retained. Unity Editor, game projects and other installation channels were not tested.
What this test covered
Removal used Windows MSIX package removal.
Recorded in source tests and retests on Windows 11 ARM64 on 2026-10-03 and 2026-10-04. The released download, account sign-in, synced data and other installation channels were not verified. Delayed external-uninstall controls are sampled separately.
After the external MSIX uninstall retake, package registration was absent but its data container and %APPDATA%\UnityHub remained. The current source orphan-history mechanism excludes Store packages, so these external-uninstall data leftovers were not covered.
