How to uninstall TablePlus on Windows
Save queries, finish or cancel database operations and back up connection information before removing TablePlus. TablePlus documents connection export: use Export Connections from the connection list when that option is available in your Windows client, and protect any export containing passwords. Keep separately referenced SSH keys and local database files. This guide covers the machine-wide winget installation; connection export was not exercised in the test.
Quit and uninstall
Close TablePlus and check Task Manager for TablePlus.exe. Go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps › TablePlus › Uninstall, or run:
winget uninstall --id TablePlus.TablePlus --exact
The tested package used an Inno Setup uninstaller. Let it finish before removing the installation folder; uninstalling the client does not uninstall a database server.
Review local client data
These paths were observed in the Windows test.
| Location | What to do |
|---|---|
%LOCALAPPDATA%\com.tinyapp.TablePlus |
Review client data and back up wanted settings before deleting the whole folder |
%LOCALAPPDATA%\com.tinyapp.TablePlus\Cache |
Disposable cache, separate from the surrounding client data |
HKCU\SOFTWARE\TablePlus |
Review saved client settings separately |
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\TablePlus |
Let the vendor uninstaller remove the program |
| Your SQL scripts and local databases | Keep queries, exports and SQLite files where you saved them |
Do not delete database server folders or shared file associations as client leftovers. Removing TablePlus does not drop remote databases or cancel a paid license or service.
Check the result
Get-Process TablePlus -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id TablePlus.TablePlus --exact
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\com.tinyapp.TablePlus"
Test-Path "${env:ProgramFiles(x86)}\TablePlus"
Test-Path 'HKCU:\SOFTWARE\TablePlus'
No process output means that executable name is not running, and no winget match means the installation record is gone. True means the exact folder or key remains; False means it does not. Keeping client settings for a reinstall is expected. An error leaves the check unresolved.
What Mole lists
The program folder, cache child, matching shortcuts, usage records and app-owned connection protocols still pointing at TablePlus are selected by default. The surrounding client-data folder and user settings key are listed but not selected. Registry removals are backed up first. Shared registrations and independent database files are separate.
What this test covered
Tested on October 3, 2026 with TablePlus 26.10.16, machine-wide winget installation on an ARM64 VM, without signing in. The Inno uninstall completed; explicitly selected client data, settings and connection protocols were removed while shared registrations remained. Real database connections, saved credentials, exports, data recovery and a separate vendor-only removal were not tested.
