How to uninstall scrcpy on Windows
This record covers scrcpy 4.1, installed through winget Genymobile.scrcpy with user scope. Back up the folders below when retaining local data.
Close the app
Close the window and tray entry, then use Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) to check scrcpy.exe, adb.exe. Quit only processes whose executable paths belong to this app.
Data and settings
No separate local data folder was measured; other installation channels were not verified.
Remove with the vendor uninstaller
Find the app in Settings › Apps › Installed apps and uninstall it. Save local data first; use the uninstaller rather than deleting its program folder.
For the measured winget installation, this command runs the package’s uninstall flow.
winget uninstall --id Genymobile.scrcpy --exact
Check the result
Get-Process -Name 'scrcpy','adb' -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id Genymobile.scrcpy --exact
No process output means no matching process was observed. A completed installation query with no match means the measured registration is absent; a query error does not prove removal.
What Mole lists
The measured winget portable package had no separate leftover rows; winget removed the package. adb was a companion inside this package, so match its executable path without stopping adb belonging to other Android tools. No Android device was connected; recordings and data on the device were not tested.
