How to uninstall Remote Desktop Manager on Windows
This guide covers the official Remote Desktop Manager 2026.3.12.0 ARM64 machine MSI installer.
Back up connection data first
After quitting, copy %LOCALAPPDATA%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager if you need its local settings or connection data. Check the backup before removing the original. Data recovery was not tested.
Uninstall the app
Uninstall Remote Desktop Manager from Windows Settings. The measured program directory was C:\Program Files\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager.
Check the result
Test-Path 'C:\Program Files\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager'
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager"
Test-Path 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Remote Desktop Manager'
Test-Path 'HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\NativeMessagingHosts\com.devolutions.rdmnativemessaging'
All four checks returned False in this batch. A query error does not prove absence.
What Mole lists
The program, Start Menu shortcuts, three exact browser native-messaging keys and usage records are selected by default. The local data folder is an unchecked ordinary Review row.
What this test covered
Tested on October 6, 2026, in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM with a Mole development build. The ordinary Review row was selected. Seven outcomes were five Removed and two Missing, and all six unique paths, the exact registration and successful user/SYSTEM process inventories independently confirmed removal. The installer and vendor directories and Firefox native-host parent were empty and retained. The first main window had an empty local workspace; no host was connected and no connection or cloud account was added. No applicable upgrade appeared in the complete provider check, which proves neither latest version nor an upgrade. Actual updates, remote connections, recovery, external uninstall and the released Mole package were not tested.
