How to uninstall PixCake on Windows

PixCake edits photos you keep in your own folders, and removing the app does not touch them; export any finished edits you still need first. Its per-user data folder, with the app's local database, hotkeys and logs, stays after the uninstall and is not listed by Mole, so this guide shows where to find it. It covers PixCake (像素蛋糕) installed machine-wide from the vendor's installer at pixcakeai.com.

Quit PixCake first

Close the PixCake window and check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for any pixcake process still listed. It added no startup entry in this test.

Remove the app with its own uninstaller

Go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find 像素蛋糕, and choose Uninstall. This is a machine-wide install, so Windows asks for administrator access. The uninstaller removes the program folder and its desktop and Start Menu shortcuts.

No output from Get-Process only means this query observed no matching process; a suppressed error leaves the running state unknown.
Test-Path on the program folder returning False means it is gone.
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\PixCake-qt_pro" returning True means the data folder is still there, which is what this test found after the uninstall.
Test-Path "HKCU:\Software\PixCake-qt_pro" returning True means the settings key is still there.

Account and subscription

Uninstalling does not cancel a PixCake membership or sign this PC out of your account. Manage membership in the app or on the vendor's site.

What Mole lists

For PixCake installed machine-wide from the vendor's installer:

The program folder, the desktop and Start Menu shortcuts, and a row grouping Windows' own records of when you opened the program are selected by default.
The eight firewall rules for the program appear in the result as a report; Mole does not remove them.
%APPDATA%\PixCake-qt_pro and HKCU\Software\PixCake-qt_pro are not listed; check them and remove them yourself after the uninstall.

What this test covered

Tested on September 28, 2026 with PixCake 9.3.1 installed from the vendor's installer, machine scope, removed with its NSIS uninstaller running silently. Every listed row was ticked and removed in this test. Not verified: a signed-in account, a membership, or edited photos.
