How to uninstall Laragon on Windows
Back up Laragon sites, databases and server configuration before uninstalling.
This covers Laragon 8.7.0 installed for the machine with winget. No site was created and no database password was changed.
Quit Laragon first. This run was one C:\laragon\laragon.exe.
& "C:\laragon\bin\laragon\unins000.exe"
Add /SILENT for a silent uninstall. A machine install needs an administrator.
Where the data is
| Location | What it holds | What to do |
|---|---|---|
C:\laragon |
The program, PHP, and Apache and Nginx config | The registration was removed. This folder was still there, including php.ini and the phpMyAdmin aliases |
Start Menu Laragon |
The shortcut | Removed this time |
C:\laragon sits on the drive root. Delete that whole folder only after you have checked it does not hold a site you still want.
Check
Get-ItemProperty 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Laragon_is1' -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Test-Path 'C:\laragon'
- No output from that query does not prove the entry is absent when errors are suppressed. Confirm a successful query or an explicit missing-target result; a listed entry means it remains.
Trueon the second means the program folder is still there.
Mole listed only the Start Menu entry for Laragon. It did not list C:\laragon.
What Mole lists
| Location | Item | Default |
|---|---|---|
%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Laragon |
Shortcut | Selected by default |
The vendor uninstaller completed and the listed Start Menu entry was removed or already absent. C:\laragon remained with php.ini and Apache/nginx aliases. Mole did not offer that drive-root folder; check its contents yourself and keep projects and databases.
These defaults assume Remove data and settings with apps is off. Explicit Select all or Also remove user data can include the listed personal-data rows. Check the selection before confirming. Selected files that Mole removes go to the Recycle Bin; selected registry entries are backed up before removal. The vendor uninstaller has its own deletion behavior.
What this test covered
Recorded on 2026-10-20: Laragon, version 8.7.0.260814, machine-wide, InnoSetup, winget package LeNgocKhoa.Laragon. The evidence comes from an ARM64 Windows test environment and a development build of Mole. It does not certify the current downloadable package or removal of real signed-in accounts, synchronized data or production projects.
Vendor documentation. The paths and removal results above are observations from the Windows test unless explicitly attributed to the vendor.
