How to uninstall HONOR Suite on Windows
If you used HONOR Suite (荣耀手机助手) to back up your phone, copy those backups somewhere safe before you remove it; check where they are saved in the app's settings first. Your phone's own data is not touched by uninstalling the PC app. This guide covers HONOR Suite installed machine-wide from the Honor.HonorSuite winget package.
Quit HONOR Suite first
Disconnect your phone and close the window. HONOR Suite asks for administrator access when it starts, and it installs a Windows service, HonorSuiteService64, set to start automatically; the service shows in Mole's Startup list, not in Settings › Apps › Startup. Check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for any HonorSuite.exe still listed before you uninstall.
Remove the app with its own uninstaller
Go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find HONOR Suite, and choose Uninstall, or run:
winget uninstall --id Honor.HonorSuite
A machine-wide install asks for administrator access.
Where the data lives
| Location | What it holds | What to do |
|---|---|---|
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\HonorSuite |
The program and its phone service | Removed by the uninstaller |
%LOCALAPPDATA%\HonorSuite |
The app's local data | The uninstaller removed it in this test |
%APPDATA%\HonorSuite |
A small amount of the app's settings | Keep it if you might reinstall; safe to remove for a clean start |
Desktop shortcut and Start Menu HonorSuite folders (all users and your own) |
Shortcuts | Removed by the uninstaller or safe to remove |
The HonorSuiteService64 service |
The background phone connection service | Stayed registered after the uninstall in this test, pointing at a program that no longer exists |
The leftover service no longer starts anything. Removing it needs administrator access; from an elevated terminal, sc.exe delete with the service's name removes the entry.
Check the result
Run these read-only commands after the uninstall finishes:
Get-Process HonorSuite -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id Honor.HonorSuite
Get-Service -Name "HonorSuiteService64*" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Test-Path "${env:ProgramFiles(x86)}\HonorSuite"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\HonorSuite"
- No output from
Get-Processonly means this query observed no matching process; a suppressed error leaves the running state unknown. - A completed
winget listquery with no match means the package record is gone; a matching row means the uninstall did not finish. - If
Get-Servicesucceeds without suppressed errors, no match means the service is gone; a result means it is still registered, as it was in this test. - The first
Test-PathreturningFalsemeans the program folder is gone;Truemeans files remain there. - The second returning
Truemeans the small settings folder is still there, which is expected unless you removed it yourself.
If you installed it with winget
winget uninstall runs the same uninstaller Settings › Apps uses and removes the same program files; it does not remove %APPDATA%\HonorSuite or the service.
Account
Uninstalling does not sign you out of your HONOR account on the phone or delete anything stored in HONOR's cloud.
What Mole lists
For HONOR Suite installed machine-wide from winget:
- The program folder goes with the app row. The Desktop shortcut, both Start Menu
HonorSuitefolders and a row grouping Windows' own records of when you opened the program are selected by default. %LOCALAPPDATA%\HonorSuiteand%APPDATA%\HonorSuiteare listed but not selected.- The
HonorSuiteService64service is reported in the result once its program is gone, but not removed. In Mole's Startup list it is then marked as broken.
What this test covered
Tested on September 27, 2026 with HONOR Suite 11.0.0.736 installed through winget, machine scope. Its NSIS uninstaller ran silently and removed the program folder, %LOCALAPPDATA%\HonorSuite, the Desktop shortcut and one Start Menu folder before Mole's own step ran. Every listed row was ticked and removed in this test, and the service stayed as described. Not verified: a connected phone and its backups.
