How to uninstall Huawei HiSuite on Windows
Find and copy your phone backups before uninstalling HiSuite. Keep the backup password separately, since an encrypted backup needs its password to restore.
Save your data and quit
In HiSuite’s menu, open Settings › Backup settings and use the folder button beside the backup directory to find the actual files. Copy wanted backups to another location and retain their password. Finish transfers, disconnect the phone and quit HiSuite. Do not remove phone drivers or another Huawei application merely because they share a vendor name.
Uninstall the tested package
In Windows 11, open Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find Huawei HiSuite, and choose Uninstall. In Windows 10, use Settings › Apps › Apps & features. Keep the installed program folder intact until its uninstaller finishes. If this was the winget package, first confirm its exact identity:
winget list --id Huawei.HiSuite --exact
If the successful query shows the intended installation, remove that package:
winget uninstall --id Huawei.HiSuite --exact
This follows the package’s registered removal method; portable packages use their package-manager removal instead. An error or a missing winget match is not proof that the app is absent: check the Windows app list and the original installation method. Follow any vendor confirmation or restart request after saving other work. See Microsoft’s uninstall command documentation.
Data and components to check
The following locations or components need separate decisions. A remaining folder is not automatically disposable.
| Location or component | What to keep or check |
|---|---|
| HiSuite Settings > Backup settings | The actual backup location selected on this PC. Keep it until the backup and password have been checked. |
| Huawei USB drivers and shared components | Keep when another device or application needs them; this guide removes HiSuite, not every Huawei component. |
See Huawei HiSuite’s official documentation.
Check the outcome
winget list --id Huawei.HiSuite --exact
A successful package query with no matching row means that package registration was not found. A matching row means it still exists; an error leaves the result unknown. Keep deliberately retained data. Check Task Manager for a process whose executable belongs to this installation, and distinguish another version or a separate companion app before acting.
What Mole lists
The program-related items were removed or already absent. Some system-wide driver information and empty shared registration entries were retained. An earlier test only recorded service information; the final test separately checked whether the HiSuite service remained, as described below.
What this test covered
HiSuite 14.0.0.380’s machine-wide x86 package was tested on an x64 PC. Final checks found no app registration, program root, checked process or HiSuite service. Phone backup restoration, every Huawei driver and an upgrade were not verified.
These results are from a development build of Mole. Other released builds were not individually tested.
