How to uninstall EV Screen Mirror on Windows
EV Screen Mirror (EV投屏) keeps little on your PC besides the program: its settings and the data of the web view it uses to draw its window. There is nothing like a project library to back up, so the main thing to check is that nothing is still being cast. This guide covers EV Screen Mirror installed machine-wide from the official installer on ieway.cn.
Quit EV Screen Mirror first
Stop any casting session, close the window, and check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for any EVScreenMirror.exe still listed.
Remove the app with its own uninstaller
Go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find EV投屏, and choose Uninstall. Because it is installed for all users, Windows asks for administrator approval before the uninstaller runs.
Where the data lives
| Location | What it holds | What to do |
|---|---|---|
%ProgramFiles%\EVScreenMirror |
Program files and the uninstaller | The uninstaller removes it |
%APPDATA%\EVScreenMirror.exe |
The web view's data for the app window | Safe to remove once the app is gone |
%LOCALAPPDATA%\EVScreenMirror |
A small settings folder | Remove for a clean start |
| A Windows Firewall rule named EVScreenMirror | Network permission for receiving casts | Remove in Windows Defender Firewall › Advanced settings if you want it gone |
Check the result
Run these read-only commands after the uninstall finishes:
Get-Process EVScreenMirror -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Test-Path "$env:ProgramFiles\EVScreenMirror"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\EVScreenMirror.exe"
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\EVScreenMirror"
Get-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "*EVScreenMirror*" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
- No output from
Get-Processonly means this query observed no matching process; a suppressed error leaves the running state unknown. - The first
Test-PathreturningFalsemeans the program folder is gone. - The next two returning
Truemean the app's data folders are still there; remove them yourself for a clean start. Get-NetFirewallRulelisting a rule means the firewall entry is still there; no matching output from a confirmed successful query means it is gone.
What Mole lists
For EV Screen Mirror installed machine-wide:
- The program folder, the desktop shortcut and a row grouping Windows' own records of when you opened the program are selected by default.
%APPDATA%\EVScreenMirror.exeand%LOCALAPPDATA%\EVScreenMirrorare listed but not selected.- The firewall rule is named in the result and left in place, since removing it needs an administrator.
What this test covered
Tested on September 26, 2026 with EV Screen Mirror 2.3.6 installed machine-wide from the official installer on an ARM64 test VM. No device was cast to the PC. Every listed row was ticked and removed in this test.
