How to uninstall EarTrumpet on Windows
This record covers EarTrumpet 2.3.0.0, installed through File-New-Project.EarTrumpet with user scope. Quit the app, then remove it from Windows Installed apps.
Close the app
Close the app window and tray entry, then check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for EarTrumpet.exe.
Data and settings
This run did not identify a separate data folder to handle. User-created files and settings from other installation channels were not covered.
Uninstall with WinGet
winget uninstall --id File-New-Project.EarTrumpet --exact
The --id and --exact options are documented in Microsoft Learn.
Check the result
Get-Process -Name 'EarTrumpet' -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id File-New-Project.EarTrumpet --exact
No process output means only that the process is not running. A completed winget query with no match means the package is no longer listed; a query error does not prove removal.
What Mole lists
The tested EarTrumpet 2.3.0.0 was an MSIX package. Mole removed its registration and reviewed %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\40459File-New-Project.EarTrumpet_725pr5jq8wr8a, which was absent afterwards. This path identifies the tested package, not every distribution.
What this test covered
Recorded on 2026-10-03 for version 2.3.0.0, using Windows MSIX package removal.
This record comes from a source build tested in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM. Signed-in accounts, synced content and other installation channels were not tested. Delayed leftover detection after an external uninstall is a separate check.
