How to uninstall Baidu Netdisk on Windows

Files you uploaded to Baidu Netdisk stay in your account after you remove the Windows app, but unfinished transfers stop, and files you downloaded stay wherever the app saved them. Before removing it, let transfers finish and confirm important uploads on the web at pan.baidu.com. This guide covers Baidu Netdisk installed machine-wide from the Baidu.BaiduNetdisk winget package. Quit Baidu Netdisk first

Baidu Netdisk runs several processes, including BaiduNetdiskUnite.exe, baidunetdiskhost.exe and a separate YunDetectService. Quit from the tray icon and check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for all of them before you uninstall.

Remove the app with its own uninstaller

Go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find Baidu Netdisk (registered as 百度云管家), and choose Uninstall, or run:

winget uninstall --id Baidu.BaiduNetdisk

Quit Baidu Netdisk from its tray icon first. In this test its uninstaller, run silently, sat for about an hour with no window and was ended by hand; if the silent run does not finish within a few minutes, start the uninstall again from Settings › Apps, which shows its own window.

Check the result

Run these read-only commands after the uninstall finishes:

No output from Get-Process only means this query observed no matching process; a suppressed error leaves the running state unknown.
A completed winget list query with no match means the package record is gone; a matching row means the uninstall did not finish.
The first Test-Path returning False means the install folder is gone; True means files remain there.
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\baidunetdisk" returning True means settings and cache are still there, which is expected unless you removed them yourself.

If you installed it with winget

winget uninstall runs the same NSIS uninstaller Settings › Apps uses; it does not remove %APPDATA%\baidunetdisk or the 百度云管家 folders on its own.

Account and subscription

Uninstalling does not cancel a Baidu Netdisk membership or delete your account. Your files stay on the server as long as the account exists.

What Mole lists

For Baidu Netdisk installed machine-wide from winget:

The install folder, desktop shortcut and Start Menu folder are selected by default.
%APPDATA%\baidunetdisk is listed but not selected.
Two registry keys that register Baidu Netdisk as an image or media player choice are listed and selected by default.
A BaiduYunGuanjia Run value left pointing at the removed program is listed, selected, and backed up to a .reg file first.
Four Windows Firewall rules this app registered are reported on the result, never removed.
The %APPDATA%\BaiduYunGuanjia folders, which hold 百度云管家's own data under the same install, are not listed.

What this test covered

Tested with Baidu Netdisk 8.8.8 installed through winget, machine scope, on an ARM64 test VM. No account was signed in, so uploads, downloads and a synced folder were not tested.
