How to uninstall AppFlowy on Windows
This run covers AppFlowy 0.14.5 installed through elevated winget, with publisher AppFlowy-IO. No account or real content was imported.
Close AppFlowy before uninstalling and keep a copy of any local data or settings you want to retain.
Remove the program
Find AppFlowy in Windows Settings under Installed apps and choose Uninstall. Mole invoked the registered InnoSetup uninstaller in this run. Settings removal was not retested. A separate external-uninstall check is described below.
Check the result
Test-Path "${env:ProgramFiles(x86)}\AppFlowy"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\io.appflowy"
Both were False. The exact uninstall registration and other reviewed targets were independently confirmed absent. No residue was removed manually. The AppUserModelId\com.appflowy.appflowy notification identity was retained. It held a display name, empty icon value and activator GUID, with no subkeys or executable command. It is outside the current deletion contract.
For your own check, a successful Test-Path query returns True when that specific path exists and False when it is absent. A query error leaves the result unresolved; neither result proves that every leftover is gone.
What Mole lists
The program, owned shortcuts, usage records, and owned protocols are selected by default. %APPDATA%\io.appflowy is listed but not selected by default. Including app data includes this whole profile. Retention of real notes, references, accounts and settings was not verified; preserve wanted content before selecting it.
What this test covered
Tested on October 4, 2026, in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM with a Mole development build, covering first launch and uninstall. Real-note retention or restoration, other installation channels and the released download were not verified.
After a separate vendor uninstall, a Mole development build immediately listed the app's link registrations and usage records. More than ten minutes later it also listed %APPDATA%\io.appflowy without selecting it. Leftover removal and real-note retention were not tested.
